In this, my second trip to Dali I was determined to climb the 4092m Cang Shan overlooking the town. We started late, the trail was steep and the altitude really slowed me down but by God, I made it! The scenery on the way up and the views from the peak (albeit marred by a huge TV tower) were worth the effort.
