Three days hiking the Tongariro Northern Circuit through some of NZ's most spectacular mountain scenery, good enough to have it used as "Mordor" in the Lord of the Rings movies.
Did you have a meltdown on the devil's steps, or whatever they were called? This was one of the many hikes where I had decided that Ryan did not care for my safety at all and ended up running half the 13 miles. In the rain. I see why people think the scenery is spectacular. Just not while we were doing it.
Did I struggle? Of course! I don't like walking, remember? but now it would be even worse now that I'm turning into a frail before and after picture. I'm working my way UP to 7 pounds under my before weight.
